Climate/Best Time
Summers are hot here as the temperature soars between 26 º C and 40 º
C during the season. It remains changing between 8 º C to 22 º C
in the winter. So it is better to prefer visiting the pink city during
October to February.
Places to Visit
» The City Palace

The
splendid palace covering almost one-seventh part of the city has been
converted into a palace-turned-museum. Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal,
Diwan-e-Khas and Diwan-e-Aam are the main attractions of the palace.
» Jantar Mantar
One of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh, Jantar Mantar is a
collection of sculptures, with each one serving as a tool of measuring
altitudes, azimuths, calculating eclipses or counting of the stars.
» Hawa Mahal
Meaning 'The Palace of the Wind' in English, this monument was used the
private chambers of the ladies from where they could have a look at the
activities of the city. Tourists come and enjoy having a look at the city.
» Jaigarh Palace
Situated north of Jaipur, this fort houses the world's largest cannon
(Jaivan). Resembling with Amber Fort structurally, this palace remains
opened daily from 9 am to 4.30 pm.
Getting There
Tourists find it very comfortable to reach Jaipur by air as the city has an
airport just 15 km from Sanganer. All the major airports of India are
connected with Jaipur by regular flights. Many of the international flights
are also operated from here. Many long route trains run from Jaipur to other
major railheads of India. During last decade, a network of express highways
has been developed. It is now very convenient to reach Jaipur by buses or
taxis now a days.
